Grand Opening Ceremonies

A waterfront celebration with our sponsors, Town officials and invited guests will be held adjacent to the Morehead City public docks on Thursday, October 2nd. A buffet featuring local seafood caught by North Carolina fishermen will be prepared by the best known chefs in Carteret County. State and county public officials, Seafood Festival sponsors and local fishers will be honored guests as we celebrate the men and women of the North Carolina seafood industry. An official painting commemorating commercial fishing will be presented to the Town of Morehead City. Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
